SeAH Steel’s Pohang plant conducted Heartsaver training to ensure a quick and effective first response in emergencies such as cardiac arrest. Dedicated teams were organized to enable immediate action even during shifts. Through this training, employees gained practical emergency care skills, including CPR, AED use, and basic wound treatment.

SeAH Besteel Recognized as an "Outstanding Fine Dust Reduction Site" for two consecutive years

SeAH Besteel’s Gunsan plant was named an “Outstanding Fine Dust Reduction Site” for the second consecutive year by the Ministry of Environment and the Jeonbuk Regional Environmental Office. The award recognized the plant’s voluntary efforts and tangible results in reducing air pollutant emissions during the seasonal management period, when fine dust levels are typically high.

SeAH Besteel achieved a 14% reduction in fine dust and air pollutants compared to the previous year, earning a commendation from the head of the Jeonbuk Regional Environmental Office.

Moving forward, the company will continue strengthening its internal management system with the goals of “zero environmental accidents” and “minimizing fine dust emissions,” while leading sustainable environmental management in harmony with local communities.

SeAH Besteel Promoting workplace wellness through the "Subokgangnyeong Health Promotion Program"

SeAH Besteel is running the Subokgangnyeong Health Promotion Program to help employees build lasting habits for managing their health. Running for 20 weeks, the program allows participants to select one of three goals: managing blood pressure and blood sugar, losing weight, or improving body composition scores by at least five points. Regular check-ups and feedback are provided to participants to encourage healthier routines.

The program has drawn strong interest from employees and is progressing smoothly, with continued support planned to foster healthy and active lifestyles.

On July 8, SeAH CSS hosted a Safety Day event at its HQ auditorium to reaffirm its commitment to accident-free operations during Safety Emphasis Week. With over 200 employees and partner company staff in attendance, the event featured recognition of outstanding contributors, presentations on best practices, a safety signage contest, a quiz competition, and a symbolic performance to reinforce collective dedication to workplace safety.

On July 22, SeAH Coated Metal received a plaque of appreciation from the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency (KOSHA) in recognition of its contributions to promoting a safety culture. This achievement follows two consecutive years of being named an excellent cooperative site for safety and health, as well as the successful implementation of risk assessment practices and safety observation initiatives.

The company also received a ministerial award at last year’s Occupational Safety and Health Best Practices Presentation. CEO Kim Hoodong reaffirmed the company’s commitment to spreading a personalized safety culture and embedding safety management practices across the organization. SeAH Coated Metal will continue to lead in fostering a culture of workplace safety.

On July 30, SeAH Coated Metal partnered with the Gunsan Social Welfare Center to deliver Samgyetang (traditional chicken soup with ginseng) meal kits to 60 elderly residents living alone. The event, titled “A Warm Heart, A Nourishing Bowl,” provided a meaningful way to care for seniors in need of energy and comfort during the hot summer.

The campaign was carried out by directly cooking and packaging the meal kits and delivering them to each household. Beyond providing meals, the initiative aimed to deliver genuine care and connection, with SeAH Coated Metal pledging continued social contribution activities to build a caring community.

On July 25, SeAH Coated Metal carried out its “Cool Summer, Stay Cool!” blanket donation campaign with the Gunsan Social Welfare Center. Summer blankets were delivered to low-income households to help prevent heat-related illnesses and improve living conditions during the hot season. SeAH Coated Metal personally distributed the blankets during a donation ceremony, sharing its heartfelt encouragement.

The company plans to continue expanding community-focused CSR activities to foster shared growth with the local community.
