As safety risks at worksites have increased due to recent heat waves and heavy rain, SeAH Besteel’s Safety and Firefighting Team is strengthening proactive preventive measures, including maintaining drainage channels, securing supplies in preparation for flooding, and operating an emergency contact system. The company is also taking comprehensive measures to protect workers’ health in accordance with the guidelines of the Ministry of Employment and Labor by ensuring rest when the perceived temperature reaches 33 Celsius or higher and restricting outdoor work when a heat wave warning is in effect.

SeAH Besteel Donates Funds to Support Crime Victims and Vulnerable Groups

On July 29, SeAH Besteel donated KRW 10 million to support crime victims and vulnerable groups in partnership with Gunsan Police Station and the Community Chest of Korea, Jeonbuk Branch. The donation is part of SeAH Besteel’s ongoing efforts to contribute to society, which began in 2023 and has provided a total of KRW 40 million to 40 households to date. The funds will be distributed at KRW 1 million per household to families affected by crimes such as domestic violence, child abuse, and stalking, identified and recommended by Gunsan Police Station, to help victims recover their daily lives and maintain stable living conditions.

SeAH CSS Holds 2026 Safety Awareness Month Event

SeAH CSS held the 2026 Safety Awareness Month event at the auditorium of its office building on July 10. The first session featured awards for employees who made outstanding contributions to safety and for outstanding O2 Campaign participants, along with the sharing of best practices in safety activities and the O2 Campaign. Participants also strengthened their safety awareness and practical capabilities through CPR training and an AI safety content competition. The second session featured the Safety Golden Bell quiz and awards for outstanding safety activities, followed by a Zero-Accident Puzzle Ceremony, in which employees worked together to complete a large-scale zero-accident puzzle, adding further meaning to the event.

The Pohang Plant successfully held 2026 Culture WEEK from June 4 to 22 to foster stronger connections among office employees and promote a vibrant organizational culture. Employees were given the choice to participate in the activities they were particularly interested in. Designed to encourage employees with similar interests to connect and interact, the program concluded with positive feedback from employees who were highly satisfied with the program.

SeAH Coated Metal Delivers Samgyetang Meal Kits for Jungbok Season

The Volunteer Group of SeAH Coated Metal held a donation activity to share samgyetang meal kits with vulnerable members of the local community at the Gunsan Social Welfare Center on July 24 to celebrate Jungbok. The activity was organized to support vulnerable neighbors in staying healthy during the hot summer season and to put SeAH Coated Metal’s commitment, growing together with the local community, into practice. Using ingredients and packaging containers sponsored by SeAH Coated Metal, employees prepared samgyetang meal kits themselves, which were then delivered to 120 vulnerable households in the local community, including vulnerable elderly living alone and single-parent families.

SeAH Coated Metal Successfully Holds Safety and Environment Experience Event for Employees and Their Families

On July 25, SeAH Coated Metal held a Safety and Environment Experience Event at its office building and production site, with a total of 33 participating employees and family members. The event was organized to strengthen family bonds and share SeAH Coated Metal’s safety culture and ESG management philosophy with employees and their families. Following an awards ceremony for the safety culture competition and an introduction to ESG management, participants took part in various hands-on programs, including putting on self-contained breathing apparatuses, performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), and using water fire extinguishers, gaining practical skills for responding to emergency situations.

VNTG and Yokogawa Electric Korea Sign MOU to Support AI Adoption and Utilization by Korean Manufacturers

On July 29, VNTG signed an MOU with Yokogawa Electric Korea to support the adoption and utilization of AI by Korean manufacturers. The partnership aims to combine the capabilities of the two companies to develop AI solutions and business models based on the companies’ enterprise information technology (IT) systems and operational technology (OT) data from manufacturing sites. The two companies plan to establish a foundation for addressing data fragmentation among manufacturers and turning data into practical value on the production site by seamlessly connecting enterprise IT systems with OT data from manufacturing sites and jointly supporting the entire process from diagnosis and design to implementation and operation. Building on this partnership, VNTG plans to continue expanding partnerships with specialized companies in areas such as OT equipment and solutions, while further strengthening its execution framework to lead AI transformation (AX) in the manufacturing sector.
