In April, SeAH Steel’s Gunsan Plant welcomed officials from the Jeonbuk Regional Headquarters of the Korea Industrial Complex Corporation for an on-site introduction and interview session.

The visit was part of an initiative to highlight outstanding companies within the industrial complex and to strengthen public advertising. During the interview, Choon-seop Park, the head of the Gunsan Plant, provided a detailed overview of the Plant’s production capabilities and its competitive strengths. Following the interview, visitors participated in a plant tour, with a special focus on the plate production facilities.

The 2025 Concert for the Beautiful World, sponsored by SeAH Besteel and co-hosted by SeAH Woon Hyung Lee Foundation and Gunsan City, was held successfully on May 16 at the Gunsan Art Center Grand Hall. This performance was organized to provide Gunsan residents the opportunity to enjoy high-quality cultural experience.

Donizetti’s renowned opera Lucia di Lammermoor had been featured, captivated the audience with its refined direction and profound music.

SeAH Besteel has introduced its 2025 functional T-shirts to improve working conditions for employees. The new t-shirt enhances comfort in hot environments by incorporating a cooling print and deodorizing functional fabric. Additionally, the inclusion of a CI-colored label and a designated space for writing laundry numbers strengthens both practicality and brand identity.

To reduce the irritation on the back of the neck, labels have been printed instead of sewing and applied a retro reflection for visibility in the dark.

MOU signed for supplying eco-friendly fluorite alternatives

SeAH CSS MOU signed for supplying eco-friendly fluorite alternatives

SeAH CSS has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Samjung Development, a company specializing in wastewater treatment, and Sejoong ES, a resource recycling company. The agreement covers the supply of a fluorite alternatives, an essential material for special steel production. Fluorite has been mostly imported from overseas up until now.

Through this agreement, fluorite alternatives will now be produced by recycling waste liquids advanced industries. This initiative is expected to deliver three major benefits: promoting resource circulation within Korea’s industrial sector, reducing production costs, and minimizing environmental impact.

On May 28, SeAH Special Steel’s Pohang plant held a “Blood Donation of Love” campaign to promote the value of saving lives. This campaign is held twice a year to help ease the ongoing blood supply shortage and encourage a culture of voluntary blood donation.

The campaign was carried out with the voluntary participation of employees who signed up in advance. Employees who were unable to donate blood helped out by donating the blood donation certificate, which helps to supplement the local blood supply.

Meanwhile, SeAH Special Steel’s Pohang plant actively puts ESG management into practice through a variety of community outreach initiatives, such as blood donation campaigns and coal briquette donation programs.

On June 5, to mark World Environment Day, SeAH Coated Metal’s volunteer group carried out a plogging activity at Eunpa Lake Park in Gunsan with the Gunsan Social Welfare Center. The event also included interactive campaigns, such as wearing sashes, sharing messages with citizens, and posting photos to raise awareness about environmental protection.

On June 19, the volunteers continued their efforts with a mural painting project in the Miseong-dong area of Gunsan. They transformed old, worn-out walls with bright, vibrant colors, helping to improve the appearance of the neighborhood. Through these ongoing initiatives, SeAH Coated Metal remains committed to fostering sustainable growth with the local community.

On May 18, SeAH Aerospace & Defense organized an employee volunteer group to take part in the “Together Day” event held at Changwon Square. “Together Day” is a national celebration designed to promote the understanding of multicultural communities and encourage the values of living together in harmony. This year’s event drew over 3,000 participants, including multicultural families, foreign workers, and local residents.

Various programs were offered, such as cultural experiences, traditional performances, and sports and recreational activities.

SeAH Aerospace & Defense supported the event by guiding visitors, organizing the venue, and keeping the area clean. The volunteers also assisted with running interactive booths for children from multicultural families.
