SeAH Steel received a plaque of appreciation from the Export-Import Bank of Korea on its 50th anniversary for its role in boosting Korea's exports. The bank described SeAH Steel as a trusted partner that has stood alongside Korea’s export industry through its challenges and growth, expressing its sincere appreciation for the strong trust and long-standing partnership built over the years.

SeAH Besteel successfully maintained its ISO 50001 Energy Management System certification by recording zero major and minor nonconformities in the second surveillance audit conducted at its Gunsan and Changnyeong plants. This achievement reflects the company’s consistent and company-wide efforts since obtaining the certification in 2015. DNV, the global certification body that conducted the audit, highly recognized SeAH Besteel’s proactive energy-saving initiatives, including the replacement of compressor inverters and the organization of internal improvement competitions.

On May 7, Chairman Soonhyung Lee visited SeAH Besteel’s Gunsan plant and delivered a management message emphasizing survival and a new leap forward in the face of challenging market conditions. During the visit, Chairman Lee repeatedly emphasized that safety must come before cost. He also called for a strong safety culture across all operations, including partner companies, and thorough environmental control. He also highlighted the importance of moving beyond routine manufacturing practices and continuously creating new value, along with improving fixed-cost efficiency.

On May 16, SeAH CSS invited employees and their families to participate in a plogging volunteer activity along the Changwon Stream. More than 100 participants, including employees and their families, members of the Gyeongsangnam-do Youth Volunteer Group, and local residents, joined the event. Participants took part in a program that combined litter picking with environmental quizzes. The activity provided a meaningful opportunity for participants to put ESG values into practice in their daily lives and reflect on the importance of the local community and the environment.

On April 28, SeAH Special Steel’s Pohang plant held a campaign, namely “Green Road”, to support the company’s environmental management policy. 20 employees voluntarily participated in the event by carrying out cleanup activities around the plant perimeter and embankment areas. Participants collected litter and removed weeds. They also planted cosmos seeds to demonstrate their commitment to environmental sustainability.

To mark World Environment Day on June 5, SeAH Coated Metal joined local companies and organizations in Gunsan for environmental cleanup activities around the Osikdo Free Trade Park. Participants threw eco-friendly mud balls into a nearby stream to help improve water quality and the surrounding ecosystem. They also carried out a plogging campaign by collecting litter along nearby roads and took the lead in protecting the local environment.

In celebration of Korea’s Family Month in May, SeAH M&S hosted a Safe Workplace Slogan and Poster Contest involving employees and partner companies. A total of 37 slogans and 29 posters were submitted, and around 90 employees participated in the voting process. This created an atmosphere of company-wide unity. Family members also took part in the event, which helped reinforce the meaningful message that family well-being and workplace safety are closely connected.

To celebrate Together Day this year, SeAH Aerospace & Defense participated in volunteer activities supporting multicultural families. Building on this initiative, the company will continue to respect the value of diversity among members of society, grow together with local communities, and carry on its meaningful journey alongside them.
