SeAH Besteel 'Safety Ground Rules' officially launched at a declaration ceremony

On March 18, SeAH Besteel held a ‘Safety Ground Rules’ declaration ceremony at its Gunsan plant to officially introduce a new set of safety rules. These guidelines aim to strengthen the company’s safety culture and prevent serious accidents.

The rules were created by selecting the best ideas from 518 suggestions submitted by employees. The final set includes 5 basic safety rules, 10 common safety rules, and 10 process-specific safety rules. During the ceremony, participants read a joint labor-management declaration, took part in a badge-wearing ceremony, and signed a safety pledge.

Following the ceremony, awareness posters were displayed throughout the plant, and a related campaign was launched.

SeAH Besteel plans to use the new ‘Safety Ground Rules’ to build a stronger safety culture where employees and partner companies work together with a shared commitment to safety.

On March 26, the SeAH Coated Metal volunteer team carried out a home improvement project for the elderly living alone, in cooperation with the Gunsan General Social Welfare Center. Volunteers cleaned homes and removed unnecessary items to help create a more pleasant and hygienic living environment.

The Gunsan General Social Welfare Center helped identify households in need and collaborated with the volunteer team to offer practical assistance. Both organizations will continue to work together to provide tailored volunteer activities and welfare services for the most vulnerable groups in the region.

Additionally, on March 18, SeAH Coated Metal and the Gunsan General Social Welfare Center organized a ‘village path cleanup’ plogging event as part of the Everyone’s Village project. Volunteers and local residents walked through the Miseong-dong area, collecting litter from streets, parks, and residential areas to improve the local environment.

This event ended on a meaningful note as local residents and the company worked together to improve the village environment and promote mutual growth with the local community.

On March 17, SeAH CSS celebrated its 59th anniversary with a ceremony held in the company auditorium. Employees, customers, suppliers, and partners joined the event to look back on the company’s journey over the past 59 years.

Awards were presented to outstanding customers, suppliers, partners, and model employees in recognition of their dedication and achievements. The ceremony also featured performances by the Gyeongnam Little Singers and popera singer Sung Kihyun, making the event even more special.

On March 12, employees from SeAH Special Steel’s Pohang plant volunteered at a farm for people with disabilities. This was their second time participating in the initiative. Nearly 40 employees helped harvest and sort crops, showing their commitment to supporting the local community.

This effort stood out as a meaningful example of social contribution that goes beyond a one-time event by focusing on sustainability and social responsibility. In addition, SeAH Special Steel is also involved in other activities such as donating coal briquettes and supporting low-income families. The company plans to continue leading the way in creating lasting social value through ongoing ESG-driven activities.

SeAH Steel Safety and health training for office and technical staff at the Pohang plant

In March, SeAH Steel’s Pohang plant held safety and health training for 50 office and technical staff members. The training covered ▲ the plant’s 5 key safety rules, ▲ safe work practices for different tasks and construction activities, ▲ response guidelines for medical emergencies, ▲ and hands-on CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) training. This practical training was designed to be directly applicable at work sites.

SeAH Steel aimed to raise safety awareness and improve employees’ ability to respond quickly and accurately in cases of emergency. The company plans to continue expanding effective, field-centered training as part of its commitment to safety-first management.
